Johan Agebjörn is most known as the songwriter and producer of Sally Shapiro, who got their breakthrough with “Disco Romance” (Paper Bag 2007), a nostalgic trip back to romantic italo disco of 1984. Johan creates atmospheric electronic music with a melancholic touch, and has as a solo musician released two ambient albums on Lotuspike. Lately he has been focusing on developing his nu-disco sound together with other producers and artists, resulting in his first pop disco album released under the name Johan Agebjörn (Paper Bag 2011).
He released his solo album Casablanca Nights, featuring collaborations with CFCF, Steve Moore (Lovelock, Zombi, Miracle), Sally Shapiro, Fred Ventura, Lake Heartbeat, Le Prix on May 10, 2011 to great success.
For his latest release, Watch The World Go By - Remixes (feat. Lake Heartbeat), out April 17th, 2012 (digital only), Johan Agebjorn has his track Watch The World Go By remixed by some of his favourite artists including Young Galaxy, Jam El Mar, and Nicolas Makelberge.
